Safety & Environmental Compliance Management Group (SECMG)

Strategic Objectives

• Conduct periodic compliance audits of existing operations to ensure compliance with permit stipulations, conditions of approval and regulations.
• Follow-up and respond in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion to all Tribal member and public complaints regarding operations.
• Establish and maintain a proactive approach in developing required safety and environmental permits, monitoring and incident reports, and other compliance related documents.
• Develop policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures to further define safety and environmental sideboards for GF enterprise operations and personnel.
• Maintain open and frequent communications with Tribal government and other regulatory agency personnel.
• Monitor federal and state rulemaking changes and ensure compliance with revised regulations.
• Research and develop “Best Management Practices” and "Best Technology Currently Available” for implementation at operations.
• Provide safety and environmental technical assistance, support and training to GF enterprise personnel.
